Autumn in the Stubaital
“Autumn is a second spring,
where every leaf is a flower.”
– Albert Camus
The Wild Water Trail
The entire valley is marked by less to more substantial waterways that pave their way through nature without consideration. Follow the water and find where it originates. The Wild Water Trail is full of unique highlights and natural phenomena.
The Moränensee lake is located above the Sulzenauhütte cabin and is surrounded by fascinating glacier phenomena. Above it towers the Sulzenauferner glacier quarry. It is a symbol of times gone by.
From the Raffein Gallery it takes only 20 minutes to walk up to the Grawa Waterfall. The water rushing down makes us realize the power and energy of nature. Let yourself be “carried away” and impressed.
This is probably the most spectacular section of the Wild Water Trail. In the beginning, you walk along the leisurely flowing stream. Within a few feet the stream turns into a true force of nature with rapids, gorges, and waterfalls.

Trail running
Running enthusiasts will find a great range of routes in Stubaital. The alpine landscape and its features offer everything from flat running trails to challenging high-altitude running routes.
The trail leads directly through Neustift just a few feet away from the Ausserwieserhof. The route runs across four alpine pastures and thus features several stops for a well-deserved refreshment.
Elfer WM 2023: this is a pure mountain run. The route was part of the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships in 2023 and should be a real challenge for the athletes among you.
Indoor swimming fun
In autumn you might have to face one or two rainy days, but this should not dampen your vacation mood. The leisure center in Neustift and the StuBay in Telfes provide great indoor swimming opportunities.
Indoor pool, outdoor pool, water slide, saunas, steam baths, and much more await you in our leisure center. The kids can really let off steam here, while the parents can enjoy their timeout in the relaxation room. And with the Stubai Card you can enjoy free admission to the indoor pool until the end of October.
The feel-good paradise offers you everything you need for a successful vacation day. For the children there are adventure slides, indoor and outdoor kid pools, and a playground. Meanwhile, the adults can explore the wellness area. Discover saunas, Kneipp pools, steam baths, and a few more highlights.
